In honor of the Idaho Falls Temple Re-dedication, I dove into my "sewing room" and produced these two little mixed media pieces.
I love the Idaho Falls Temple. It is where I got married, it is the temple that is closest to us. It is where I feel at home.
The Idaho Falls Temple has been closed for the last two years for major renovations. It was so hard to be without "my" temple. Of course we have the Rexburg Temple just down the road, but still....
During the Open House I got to volunteer as an usher twice. My kids also got to help out with the shoe covers. I am so glad they got to have this experience. Of course we also got to tour the temple and see all of its beautiful changes. The murals have been restored and are so bright. I love it. I love them.
Now that the Open House is over, we look forward to the re-dedication which is to take place on June 4th. And our kids get to participate with the Cultural Celebration the day before. It is so exciting to take part in this. The original dedication of this temple was 70 years ago. Our taking part in this is truly a chance of a lifetime.
